The legendary Scientist has put his laboratory to good use on two different remixes of the track Doom Variations. His trademark Dub treatment – replete with massive bass lines and lashings of reverb – adds a radically different and markedly organic quality to the music. The increased elasticity of the rhythms is putting the focus on the music’s inherent atmospheric and transcendent qualities. Might for some listeners bring to mind the collaborations between Czukay, Liebezeit and Jah Wobble!
