Trumpeter and producer Alex van Heerden of South Africa made several projects of electronic minimal music for Swedish imprint smallfunk before his tragic passing in 2009. ”Afrodisiac” is van Heerdens take on the vibrations of the secret plants in his vicinity.
This album is a dedication to these noble and mischievous plants of Africa, reproducing the song of the alkaloids of eros, to keep the party that they started millions of years ago alive!
