Singular’s eyes turn north with the release of the majestic two-tracker ’Norr’. Following up on the relentlessly energetic ’Öst’, released on Lamour in November 2022, the Malmö based collective dials down the heat a notch or two.
‘Norr’ features bouncy, transmuting beats awash with melancholic harmonies and elusive hints and sweeping swaths of acoustic piano. In ’Nordost’ Singular deconstructs the title track to create an ethereal yet menacing melodic meditation.
