Black Arcs Rising-The third full length album from the Swedish power trio Statues. It's the kind of indie punk-rock that you would expect to hear in a damp venue in the midwest during the late 80s, right before Sonic Youth or Hüsker Dü walked up on stage. It's simple, impulsive, eccentric, and just wonderful. Sweet melodies with just the right amount of melancholic undertones - "Black Arcs Rising" is the kind of album that sounds as good on the dancefloor of a rockclub as it does on a rainy day.
