On their new album Kalpa, Stockholm-based ensemble Kommun, led by guitarist Finn Loxbo, continues to weave phrases across guitar, piano, bass, violin, cello, and percussion, creating a rich, evolving sound. Expanding from a quartet to a sextet, the ensemble builds on the concepts introduced in their 2023 album Ephemeralds (released by Fönstret/Edition Festival), now deepening their collective phrase-makings.
